In keeping with Peet's Coffee & Tea's global origins, works from The Kingdom of Tonga and the Australia series seemed appropriate for this show in downtown Santa Cruz. Surface 54, just to the right of the entrance and visible from the street, provides a watery passport to these island nations.

The Art of Mud
Since Spring 2002, Fallon has made 32 trips to Death Valley, capturing nearly 3,000 images. Some of these shots, of canyon walls and surfaces of dried mud, have served as precedents to works shown here combining painting with mud on canvas. In 2017 an exhibit of his photography at the Furnace Creek Visitor Center in Death Valley National Park was viewed by over 250,000. people.
